Another Blunder Cost a Relay Medal For SL ?
Another official blunder from AASL may had cost a medal for SL in the medley relay (400m,300m,200m and 100m) as AASL had not entered for the event. Team Management had tried their level best to enter a relay team during the competition which started on 20th but organizers did not allowed a late entry.
Sri Lanka has their best 100m runner Suraj Dinusha, best 200m runner Shalika Santhush who clocked sub 22 seconds yesterday and best 400m runner who clocked personal best of 48.62 seconds on Monday in the team already at Thailand . And they have 400m hurdler Navodya Sankalpa, 800m Silver medallist Harsha Karunaratne who clocked 1:54.99 seconds and 110m hurdler Shehan Kariyawasam, who all can run good 300m to complete the team.
