Marathon pool initiated

Authorities have finally come up with the much needed Marathon National pool as 7 male and 7 female marathoners have been selected to the pool. They will be trained in Nuwara Eliya by a separate coach and manager to ensure better performances in the marathon event for Sri Lanka.

The pool initiated by the Department of Sports Development has the full backing of the Sports Ministry and AASL.

Male athletes who have clocked below 2 hours and 35 minutes and female athletes who run under 3 hours and 10 minutes have been selected to the pool.
