Emma sets a new SL record in Discus Throw – 48.02m

US based Sri Lankan thrower Emma De silva established a new mark in women discus throw with 48.02m throw which shattered 12 year old Sri Lanka record set by PadmaNandani Wijesundara.

She achieved the feat at Pac 12/ big 10 track and field invitational meet hosted by Arizona State University. Padma Nandani Wijesundara set the the old record of 47.50m in 2006 South Asian Games in Colombo where she won the Gold medal.
