Greshan win gold with record breaking 7.90m in Thailand

| Long Jumper Greshan Dhananjaya won the gold with personal best of 7.90m leap in the men’s long jump at Thailand open Athletics championship started at Bangkok yesterday . Greshan from SLEME leaped this distance in his fifth attempt which is also a new championship record .
High Jumper Ushan Thiwanka leaped 2.16m and just missed his attempt in clearing 2.21m but his leap of 2.16m was more than enough for him to win the gold medal.
Javelin Thrower Sumedha Ranasinghe could only throw modest distant of 69m in the men’s javelin throw but still manage to win the Gold medal of the event.
meanwhile long jumper Anjani Pulwansa did not had a great outing as she finished third for the bronze medal with 5.89m .
