Barakat al Harthi of Oman breaks 10sec barrier in 100m
Barakat al Harthi of Oman became the first-ever Omani to break the ten-second barrier when the 30 year old clocked a time of 9.97 seconds to win 100m at the third West Asian Athletics Championships in Amman, Jordan.
Barakat Mubarak Al-Harthi is an Omani sprinter who specializes in the 100 metres. He was born in Ibra. He competed at the 2009, 2013 and 2015 World Championships and the 2010 and 2014 World Indoor Championships without reaching the final.
