Shriyani , Sajith included in Gen. Daya Rathnayake lead National Sports Council

Veteran National Athlete and former olympian Shriyani Kulawansha, Veteran Athletics coach and director of the National Institute of sports science (NISS,Sajith Jayalal are included in the 12 member National Sports Council which chaired by former Army Commander and Former president of the Athletics Association , Gen Daya Rathnayaka.

Sports Minister Harin Fernando has appointed this  Council for the development, improvement and administration of all sports in Sri Lanka who was handed over their appointment letters today (17th ) .

This committee has been appointed under the Sports Law of 1973 (Section 25 Clause 4) and will be effective for two years. These personalities will be instrumental in assisting the Sports Minister in uplifting sports to a higher level in the country.
