Ajith Wins Silver , but falls below 7000 pts in India (Videos)

Decathlete Ajith Karunathilaka finished second for the Silver medal in the competition but he fell behind the asking standards finishing with a total of 6959 points at the Federation Cup, Indian National Competition at Patiala on Saturday (16th) .
Ajith who finished with 3500 odd points after first day of the decathlon again fell behind in the event including one of his best, the Pole Vault. Boota Singh from Haryana won the event with 7533 points which was his personal best.
Event :- 100M – 11.37 seconds, Long Jump – 6.99m , Shot Put -10.89m , High Jump -1.77m , 400M – 50.65 seconds , 110m hurdles – 14.82 seconds , Discus Throw 33.98m , Pole Vault 4.30Pm, Javelin Throw 59.76m , 1500M 4:54.54 sec: Total :- 6959 points .
