SRI LANKA WINS A TWO GOLD AND TWO SILVER AT SPECIAL OLYMPIC WORLD GAMES
Sri Lankan athletes won Two Gold and Two silver medals in the The 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Game which is been held in Abu Dhabi .
The athletics Gold medal is won by 18 year old Sajith Weligamage leaping 3.24m to the pit . The athletics silver medal was won by 20 year old Dumindu Perera who who clocked 14.92 seconds to win the silver medal of 100M run . Other two medals were won by swimmers as 16 year old Aruna Prasanth won silver medal of 50m freestyle in swimming while 31 year old Shahika Hettiarachchi won the gold medal of 25 m freestyle .
The 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games is a multi-sport event for athletes with intellectual disabilities in the tradition of the Special Olympics movement. It will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from March 14–21, 2019.
