(VIDEO) Nadeesha wins heat ,Real chance for a medal tonight
Nadeesha Ramanayaka was visibly nervous , she had got extrema outside lane of the 400m at her first ever Asian level competition and on in the inside it was India’s World junior champion and Asian Game’s Silver medalist Hima Das Competing . Naturally the 25 year old southern girl was nervous , little bit afraid but she ran her heart out from the starting gun and by the 200M India’s Golden girl Das gave up the race hobbling and Nadeesha did not knew it , assuming Das is coming in to home straight with her customary sprint , Nadeesha gave it all and finished first in the heat clocked 53.66 seconds .
Her time now ranked third in among finalist behind the World Championship silver medalist Salwa Eid Nasser and India’s Poovamma Raju as she set to compete in the finals at 9.58M SL time .
