Yupun renew 60M SL Indoor record

Italy-based Sri Lankan sprinter, Yupun Abeykoon shattered 60m indoor Sri Lanka record, clocking 6.59 seconds at Italian indoor competition yesterday.

Abeykoon clocked this time during the heats.

Previous record was also held by Abeykoon himself when he clocked 6.78 seconds in 2017.

Last year he became an overnight sensation after setting a new national and South Asian record in the Men’s 100m event held at an International meet held in Dessau, Germany, clocking 10.16 seconds.
