Yupun breaks Asian record in 150 metres

Sri Lanka’s Yupun Abeykoon has established a new Asian record in the 150 meters at an athletics meet held in Italy on Sunday, Sri Lanka Athletics confirmed on Monday.

Abeykoon has finished the event in 15.16 seconds (wind +1.4). Abeykoon broke the record (15.35 secs) set by Japan’s Yoshihide Kiryu in 2017.
