Nationals Head to Head – Sumedha vs Waruna & Sampath
After slip in the performance since 2016 , Olympian Sumedha Ranasinghe returned to 80m Plus performance this year where he went on to represent Sri Lanka in the Asian Championship this year.
He will be challenged by former National champion Waruna Lakshan Dayarathne , who represented Sri Lanka in the 2017 World championship and Sampath Ranasinghe who represented Sri Lanka in the 2018 Commonwealth Games . But with personal best of 83.04m and with world championship qualification mark on 83m , Sumedha will be eyeing for win to secure his second South Asian Games participation as well as to qualify for the world championship.
