Himasha Eashan is a Sri Lankan sprint athlete specializing in the 100 and 200 metres. He is the current South Asian and Sri Lankan record holder in the 100 M sprint with the time of 10.26.Himasha was found positive for banned substance methylhexamine in 2012 and kept out of the field for one year by Sri Lanka, but he came strong soon after the ban by winning the national championship.
Trained by Chaminda Perera, Eashan won the silver medal at Asian Junior Championship in 2014 and went on to represent Sri Lanka at the IAAF World Junior Championship . Eashan represented Sri Lanka at the 2015 Asian championship and was member of the 4X100m relay team who finished fourth and set a new Sri Lanka record.
In 2016 he won the Gold medal in 100m at south Asian Games setting new South Asian and Sri Lanka record of 10.26 seconds while also was member of the Gold medal winning 4x100m relay team . Eashan is currently training in Jamaica .
