|Biography

Ishara Sandaruwan is Sri Lanka’s best Pole Vaulter in the history with personal best of 5.10m which he set in the 2016 National Sports Festival at Jaffna. Sandaruwan overtook the long standing Sri Lanka record by Ruwan Pradeep Kumara and cleared 5.00m in 2016 January to win the Gold medal and Set new meet record at the South Asian Games 2016 .

Hailing from Walala A.Rathnayake CC Sandaruwan carries SL’s hope in the pole Vault event as he kept improving throughout last few years with little facilities and competitions he gets.
