(VIDEO) Tharushi finishes 7th in the repechage heat and ends her Paris Olympic run

Tharushi Karunarathne clocked a modest 2:06.66 seconds in the 800m repechage heat 04 and finished 7th in the Paris Olympics today. Subsequently, her run in this Olympics will now come to an end. Earlier, the 19-year-old middle-distance runner did not have an ideal debut in the Olympics. She finished last in her 800m heat with a time of 2 minutes 07.76 seconds. Karunarathne, who is 19 years old and holds gold medals from the Asian Games and Asian Championships, has a personal best of 2:00.66 seconds. Her qualification for the Olympics 800m event was based on her world ranking.”
