Nadeesha Ramanayake and Aruna Darshana Win Top Honors at Army Athletics Championships

At the Sri Lanka Army Athletics Championships, Nadeesha Ramanayake was named the best female athlete, and Aruna Darshana was named the best male athlete. Both athletes set new records in their favorite events.

Aruna Darshana had an unforgettable performance in the 200 meters race, finishing in 20.35 seconds. He also excelled in the 400 meters, setting a personal best time of 45.30 seconds, narrowly beating Kalinga Kumarage, who finished in 45.35 seconds.59 AAC Final Results

Nadeesha Ramanayake, the winner of the Asian Championships gold medal in the 400 meters, broke her own record with a time of 53.22 seconds.

The men’s team title was won by SLEME, while the Sri Lanka Army Women Cops won the women’s title.

During the three-day championship, 13 new meet records were set, and two national records were broken.
